Yorktown

Lakes & Ponds

  • Osceola Lake - flows into wetlands that used to be the Golf Course on Route 6. This area is now a town park. Thanks to the generosity of Cary Fields and efforts by our co-founder Nick Bianco - this land was saved from development and will remain forever green.

  • Mohegan Lake
  • Unnamed lake behind Lakeland Copper Beech Middle School


Tributaries

  • Shrub Oak Brook
  • Mohegan Outlet - runs from Mohegan lake under Route 6 under Foothill Street
  • Unnamed stream that runs under the Taconic State Parkway and East Main St. Off Barger Street stream feeds into Shrub Oak Lake
