There are several municipalities within the Hollowbrook Watershed, many of which...

Peekskill  - gets it main water supply from the Hollowbrook for the majority of its residents.  There is a backup water supply from the NYC DEP Aqueduct.

Buchanan - The Northern half of Buchanan gets its water directly from Peekskill and the Hollowbrook.

Putnam Valley - Residents have individual water wells which get there water from the Ponds, Lakes, Streams and surface water runoff in the Hollowbrook watershed.

Cortlandt - Primary water supply is the NYC DEP, however the backup water supply is from the Hollowbrook which is used when Cortlandts equipment is offline for maintenance or repairs or when low water pressure conditions are found.

Yorktown - Primary water supply is the NYC DEP, however the backup water supply is from the Hollowbrook which is used when Cortlandts equipment is offline for maintenance or repairs or when low water pressure conditions are found.
